Currently, an Assistant Professor at the School of Culture and Creative Expressions, Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD), where he teaches Performance Studies and Culture Studies.
His performance, research and scholarly interests include Aesthetics and Theatre of the Oppressed, Aurality, Corporeality and Visuality in Performance, Critical Theory and Cultural Studies, Comparative Performance Studies, Cultural Policy, Performance Philosophy, Traditional and Popular South Asian Performance. He has done extensive documentation of theatre in north east of India, while working on his MPhil research at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi (JNU) about initiation of a fresh approach towards concept and definition of people’s art, underlining how engaging with ritual performance and folklorist past can facilitate conflict resolution and negotiate ‘modernity’. He has been invited to lecture and perform in various countries including China, Japan, Finland and USA. He has been a visiting faculty at major institutes like Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts and National School of Drama, Delhi. Most recently in 2016, he attended the Mellon School of Theater & Performance Research, Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA.
